It was started on 29-06-1966 with 20 students. The student strength today is 142.

School for the Visually Handicapped Irenepuram

It was started in 1978 supported by the Christoffel Blinden Mission till 1997 and now supported by the many congregations and institutions of the Diocese. In the beginning there were only 8 students and now the strength is 115.

The home and school for the mentally retarded children were started in 1980 at Kotticode. This was shifted to its new campus at Zion Hill, Chithiramcode in 1985 which now has 50 children.
